Child protection and safeguarding are subjects we take very seriously. We invite you to read our safeguarding policy under the policies tab and identify how you can protect and safeguard vulnerable children and young people.
There are 2 ways that you can protect and safeguard.
These are the Early Help Strategy and getting in touch with the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
The Early Help Strategy
Early Help means taking action to support a child, young person or their family early in the life of a problem, as soon as it emerges. It can be required at any stage in a child’s life from pre-birth to adulthood, and applies to any problem or need that the family cannot deal with or meet on their own. It also applies to all children and young people, with any form of need.

Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub
Birmingham MASH is the first port of call for anyone with a child safeguarding concern.
A MASH is a multi-agency team which co-locates key safeguarding agencies with a view to better identifying risks to children, and improving decision-making, interventions, and outcomes. The creation of a MASH enables the multi-agency team to appropriately review their information systems, share all appropriate information in a secure environment, and ensure that the most appropriate response is provided to effectively safeguard and protect the child.
