Welcome to our school
At Primary level, we will follow a reception curriculum and a Primary curriculum for Years 1-6. In addition to the prime areas of the National Curriculum, King Solomon will also be teaching Modern Foreign Languages as part of our commitment to prepare students to become global citizens.
At Primary level, our broad and balanced curriculum will be tailored to embrace the International Baccalaureate learner profile, thus preparing students to study either the IB Diploma (an outstanding pre-university course that offers a broader programme of study than A-levels) or the IB Career related Certificate (a vocational orientated programme).
It is our goal at King Solomon that all pupils have the opportunity to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, intellectually, culturally and aesthetically. As such, King Solomon will be rooted in the Christian tradition, and is therefore committed to providing an education that seeks to build character and enable students to develop as whole, rounded and spiritual human beings. The ethos provides a framework for the kind of character we want our children to develop in order to draw out the full potential of each child. We will therefore seek to develop student’s ability to recognise good advice, make sound judgments and wise decisions and to be honest, just, fair and resourceful. The Christian ethos of the school will create an environment which cultivates virtues of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, all of which are conducive to a positive learning environment for students and staff to excel.
